Primary Purpose Statement
The Developmental Disabilities Services Manager with Neuse Enterprises Inc., will provide administrative support for the ADVP, Day Support, 1915i, and Innovations Waiver programs.
Principle Accountabilities
The Developmental Disabilities Services Manager with Neuse Enterprises Inc., supervises full-time and/or part-time staff working as Instructors, Day Support Specialists, and Direct Support Professional (DSP) Staff at the main facility. The IDD Services Manager is directly supervised by the Executive Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administration
Develop and maintain up to date Person Centered Plans for program participants who do not have Care Coordinators (IPRS/State funded service recipients) by collaborating with the participant, their family/guardians, and support staff to document the participant’s status, needs and develop objectives for the individual to work towards.
Maintain accurate service records that meet agency, MCO/LME, Medicaid and CARF standards. Provide copies of record information for agency monitoring/review by funding sources and CARF.
Submit completed Person-Centered Plans and complete Treatment Authorization Request to MCO/LME to ensure service availability and payment for services.
Collaborate with billing department to monitor billing claims and authorization approvals and denials.
Participate in Leader meetings with other program managers to contribute to the creation and implementation of agency policies and procedures.
Hires, disciplines, and dismisses IDD Services Support Staff input and collaboration from Human Resources and the Executive Director.
Supervision
Provide supervision for support staff. Offer interventions/strategies for the completion of PCP objectives. Trouble-shoot problems that participants and staff experience during service implementation. Ensure that staff understands and follows agency policies and procedures. Evaluate staff performance of assigned tasks.
Monitors day-to-day activities of participants and makes suggestions for change, additions, and improvements when needed.
Ensure that staff documentation is accurate and that it meets Medicaid and agency standards, as well as supports billed claims.
Ensure that support staff is implementing the current PCP plan and objectives for program participants.
Coordinate staff work schedule and ensure that all authorized hours of service are worked each week.
Conduct meetings with participants and staff to address questions/problems, to plan events for participants, as well as, to relay information related to service provision.
All other duties as assigned
Position Specifications and Experience
The Developmental Disabilities Services Manager, QP must meet the state mandated Qualified Professional qualifications. These include a four-year college degree (in a human service field is preferred), and minimum of 2 years’ experience, post-college, working directly with individuals (preferably adult population) with developmental disabilities, mental illness, and/or substance abuse issues. Must be computer literate and have good communication skills. Must have driver’s license and a good driving record.
