    Our company is hiring a full-time Press Operator to join our team in Lancaster. Individuals in this role will be responsible for the set-up and operation of multi-color printing presses in accordance with the specifications and customer requirements and maintain the press and surrounding areas.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Responsible for the set-up, operation, and maintenance of the printing press, color approval, and performance of preventive maintenance.
    • Review all finished work as well as verifying product coming off the press.
    • Ensure the job jacket is accurate and complete with all samples and other job requirements.
    • Comply with all Safety and Company policies.
    • Provide direction to the press crew co-workers for a successful production run.
    • Check the press sheet out against the layout and proofs to ensure proper, color and content during the make-ready process and throughout the run.
    • Maintains proper ink levels in the ink fountains to ensure the constant color is maintained.
    • Maximizes speed and quality.

     

    Administrative and safety

    • Reads the job jacket and has a complete understanding of the job specifications.
    • Keeps equipment, press, and work area clean and orderly.
    • Follows company safety policy and procedures.

     

    Qualifications

    • High School diploma or GED, general manufacturing experience required.
    • Attention to fine detail and high quality is expected.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment with minimal supervision.
    • Pass a pre-employment drug test

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Performs work required for this position in a manufacturing plant environment.
    • Ability to work extended hours and weekends, as needed.
