SCOPE OF WORK

Seeking part-time patent attorney (min 4 years prosecution experience) to join our growing Government Contract Team in support of a United States Government Agency (Defense and Security) by providing patent application, prosecution, and patent legal support services. Help protect and strengthen American security by providing patent legal services to the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities include reviewing invention disclosures, drafting patent applications, responding to USPTO office actions, conducting examiner interviews, completing USPTO required forms and templates, reviewing file wrappers associated with pending and issued patents, and assisting with litigating or licensing matters as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have Biotech undergrad (BS) or graduate degree (MS or PhD)
• Must have Juris Doctor (JD) from accredited Law School
• Must be admitted to practice law
• Must have Patent Bar registration
• Min 4 years of experience in biotech patent application drafting and prosecution
• Min 4 years of law firm experience
• Technical or Scientific Background in: Biotechnology or Biochemistry
• Must be U.S. Citizen

LOCATION (TELEWORK AND OCCASIONAL OFFICE VISIT) AND HOURS (PART-TIME)

Telework allowed.  Occasionally must go into office in Washington, D.C.
