Intensive Specialty Hospital provides comprehensive, personalized acute care services for patients who need extended time to recover from medically complex conditions.

As Northwest Louisiana’s long-term acute care specialist, we offer highly complex treatments including ventilator management and weaning, advanced wound care, and rehabilitation therapies. With two locations, Shreveport Campus and Bossier City Campus, we are the largest provider of LTAC services in Northwest Louisiana. 

Additionally, our Shreveport Campus provides specialized inpatient and outpatient psychiatric and addiction medicine services.

POSITION SUMMARY: To provide routine nursing care and services that support the care delivered to patients requiring long-term acute or transitional restorative care, in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One to two years nursing assistant experience, LTACH preferred
• Successful completion of certification program for nursing assistants
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English
• Compassionate, interpersonal skills and enjoy helping others

CERTIFICATIONS:

• CNA Certification
• BLS Certification

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide basic care to patients and assist them with daily activities such as bathing, dressing etc. 
• Measure and record patient vital signs.
• Record and communicate all issues to medical staff.

EDUCATION: 

• Entry Level (0-2 years)

EXPERIENCE: 

• High School Diploma/GED
