    SUMMARY:

    The Operator II sets up and operates the converting and packaging web equipment to meet cGMP, customer, and internal quality standards.  This position maintains accurate production documentation, tooling, and machinery to ensure the quality of our products.  This position also follows press diagrams and product prints to ensure dimensional accuracy of products.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

    • Ability to set-up and operate converting equipment, including intermittent and rotary web presses, cartoning and packaging equipment.
    • Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of converting and packaging equipment.
    • Accurately complete all required batch record production documentation.
    • Ensure production crew is on task and focused on safety, quality and productivity.
    • Communicate with Crew Leaders, Shift Leaders, and Maintenance personnel with regards to process and equipment related issues.
    • Trains other operators in the operation and troubleshooting of equipment.
    • Identifies improvements in safety, quality, and productivity of production areas.
    • Ability to meet physical demands and perform the essential job functions within the work environment identified in this job description.

    Required Experience

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • 2 to 5 years experience as a press operator, GMP experience preferred
