    Senior Boomi SOA Developer - Irvine, CA

    Our client is looking for a Senior Boomi SOA Developer who will focus on advanced Dell Boomi SOA Project, system support, and administration. In this role, you will work closely with customers and partners to gather requirements and design complex business applications and data integration solutions. You will also translate business processes and requirements into technical integration requirements and designs.

     

    Senior Boomi SOA Developer Job Description:

    Boomi SOA Projects (60%)

    • Evaluate new applications to assess the integration approach.
    • Provide architecture-level infrastructure recommendations, configuration, and sizing requirements to support the Dell Boomi product suite.
    • Be a product expert of Dell Boomi applications including the AtomSphere integration platform and other Boomi suites.
    • Recommend best practices for implementing, managing, and governing integrations using the Boomi AtomSphere integration platform.
    • Define and promote the adoption of best practices of Dell Boomi's products across the internal and external user community.

    Systems Support (20%)

    • Support and troubleshoot escalated issues
    • Provide support for systems related issues
    • Work with user departments to resolve specific problems or make changes in programs.
    • Write and maintain documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.

    Application Administration (10%)

    • Establish and maintain security standards and policies to ensure data encryption and overall data protection.
    • Provide insight into future programming trends such as SOA.
    • Provide support for application integration and configuration and make recommendations as necessary.
    • Investigate, plan, and implement business productivity application patches, fixes and Service Packs including possible OS impacts.

    Technology Project Support (5%)

    • Evaluate new technologies in area of specialty and provide input into future systems strategies.
    • Utilize any special programming techniques necessary to achieve the most effective program.
    • Modify existing programs to conform to system changes or make improvements in the existing program.

    Resource Management (5%)

    • Effectively transition senior level knowledge to other members of the team to help grow the organization as a whole.
    • Provide input into the scheduled performance review process.
    • Suggest and lead areas for improvement in internal processes.
    • Provide input into the decision-making process for the team.

     

    Senior Boomi SOA Developer Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree preferred
    • 6+ years of progressive, increasingly responsible, Boomi and computer applications programming, designing, and testing for small- and large-scale computer software applications.
    • Proven ability to design and optimize application and data integration processes across disparate systems
    • Experience with enterprise integration tools, middleware technologies, and application and data integration patterns including ESB, MOM, JMS, SOAP/REST web services, databases, ETL
    • Practical experience implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) design and enabling technologies including messaging, XML, JSON, web services, and HTTP
    • Experience with Cloud and Software-as-a-Service paradigm and enabling technologies
    • General knowledge of common business systems (CRM, SFA, ERP) and processes (lead to cash, requisitions, order management, etc.)
    • General knowledge of key application infrastructure components such as VMware, storage (NAS, SAN, SMB), Java JVM, networking (firewall, load balancing, proxies)
    • Significant experience of cooperation with external customers.
    • Familiarity with Boomi AtomSphere or other visual-based integration middleware platforms
    • Database skills including SQL, data modeling, and databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
    • Messaging skills including JMS (e.g. ActiveMQ, MQSeries, OracleAQ)
    • Development/scripting skills with Java, Groovy, JavaScript
