    Job Description

    The IT Assistant works together with the IT Administrator to provide computer and technology support to company employees while helping ensure that the company network is functioning properly and up to date.

    The entry-level position requires a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to follow clear instructions and an interest in computers, networking, and peripherals.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Helping install, operate, and maintain computer networks and communication systems
    • Troubleshooting company hardware and software
    • Monitoring, managing, and answering questions regarding the current computer network.
    • Configuring hardware and software
    • Setting up peripherals such as printers or routers
    • Making repairs to equipment
    • Providing daily support for computer network users.
    • Answer Help Desk calls and e-mails regarding the computer network or communication systems.

    Additional tasks include writing reports, tracking inventory, evaluating new technologies, and developing contingency plans in case of network failure. The IT assistant may also work on other projects, such as web design or Internet security as needed.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, Computer Networking, or a related qualification preferred
    • Must be mechanically inclined with some experience with computers
    • Should have command line PowerShell experience
    • Experience dealing with end users in an enterprise technical support environment is ideal
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment
    • Working knowledge of programming languages and operating systems
    • Experience with PHP, Access, MySQL, Java/JavaScript, and Python is preferred.
    • Knowledge of website management tools
    • Expertise working with cPanel and WHM preferred
    • Strong PC keyboarding skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint)
    • Some MX and Mail Security experience preferred.
    • Experience with O365 is required
    • Must be naturally driven to produce high quality results with great care
    • Diligent attitude and punctuality are required

    • $40,000-$50,000 Commensurate with Experience
