    Overview

    We’re looking for an experienced Interface Engineer with strong FHIR integration skills to support the design, development, and maintenance of healthcare data interfaces. In this contract role, you will build and troubleshoot FHIR-based APIs and interoperability workflows that connect our systems with partners, customers, and clinical platforms.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and support FHIR R4/R5 interfaces and RESTful APIs.

    • Implement data exchange using FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, and CDA standards.

    • Build and maintain interfaces between EHRs, internal apps, and third-party systems.

    • Validate and test FHIR resources and ensure compliance with implementation guides.

    • Troubleshoot integration issues and perform root-cause analyses.

    • Maintain documentation, data maps, and API specs.

    • Collaborate with product, engineering, and customer teams to deliver scalable solutions.

    Required Qualifications

    • 2–5+ years of healthcare integration experience.

    • Hands-on experience with FHIR , HL7, REST, JSON/XML.

    • Familiarity with integration engines (e.g., Mirth/NextGen Connect , Rhapsody, Cloverleaf).

    • Strong troubleshooting and interface development skills.

    • Working knowledge of data standards (LOINC, SNOMED CT, ICD-10).

    Preferred Skills

    • SMART on FHIR, OAuth2, or Subscriptions experience.

    • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).

    • Knowledge of common EHR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech).

    Soft Skills

    • Clear communicator with strong documentation habits.

    • Able to work independently and deliver on deadlines in a remote/contract environment.
