Warbird Healthcare Advisors is partnering with a healthcare organization in the Northwest seeking an experienced Interim Director of Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) for a 6+ month engagement.

This role will focus on evaluating current program gaps and driving improvements to align with best practice standards, specifically around CC/MCC capture, physician engagement, and CDI–Coding integration. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can quickly assess, influence, and implement sustainable change.

Key Priorities:

• Assess CDI program performance and identify gaps
• Improve CC/MCC capture and documentation accuracy
• Strengthen physician engagement and education
• Enhance CDI and Coding alignment and collaboration
• Establish sustainable workflows, metrics, and best practices

Qualifications:

• RN or strong CDI clinical background required
• Proven CDI leadership experience
• Expertise in physician engagement and program optimization
• Experience integrating CDI and Coding functions
• Solventum experience preferred
• CCDS or CDIP required; CCS, RHIA, or RHIT a plus

Engagement Details:

• Duration: 6+ months
• Location: Hybrid (Billings, MT)
