    Overview

    A rapidly expanding, private equity-backed platform in the infrastructure, environmental services, and water-related solutions space is seeking an Interim CFO to partner closely with executive leadership during a critical growth phase.

    This role is ideal for a hands-on financial leader with significant M&A experience, capable of driving both strategic transactions and post-acquisition integration across a fragmented, roll-up style industry.

    There is a clear path to a permanent CFO position for the right candidate.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead all financial operations, including FP&A, reporting, and cash flow management
    • Act as a key partner in executing an active M&A strategy, including:
      • Financial due diligence
      • Deal structuring and valuation
      • Integration of acquired businesses
    • Build scalable financial systems, processes, and controls to support rapid growth
    • Collaborate with private equity sponsors and leadership on growth strategy and capital deployment
    • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking across multiple operating entities
    • Drive post-merger integration, ensuring alignment across finance, operations, and reporting
    • Manage relationships with lenders, investors, auditors, and external advisors
    • Support debt financing, refinancing, and capital raising activities
    • Evaluate and improve unit economics, margins, and operational efficiencies

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in a multi-entity or roll-up environment
    • Strong track record in M&A execution and integration (buy-side preferred)
    • Experience in private equity-backed companies highly desirable
    • Background in industrial services, infrastructure, environmental services, or related sectors is a plus
    • Deep expertise in financial modeling, cash flow management, and capital structuring
    • Ability to operate in a hands-on, build-as-you-go environment
    • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence executives and investors
    • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
