    ​​Job Summary

    The Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall upkeep of the facility, including performing repairs, routine inspections, and preventive maintenance. This role also includes groundskeeping duties to maintain the exterior appearance and safety of the property. The ideal candidate will be proactive, safety-conscious, and able to perform tasks independently while working in a team-oriented environment.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including basic plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry

    Conduct regular inspections of buildings and grounds to identify and address safety hazards or maintenance needs

    Patch walls, paint surfaces, and replace fixtures to maintain a clean and functional environment

    Support room turnover and readiness for incoming participants, ensuring spaces are safe, clean, and welcoming

    Respond promptly to service requests and work orders, maintaining clear documentation of actions taken

    Perform groundskeeping tasks to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of outdoor areas, including parking lots, walkways, lawns, and shared grounds.

    Assist with building security by ensuring exterior lighting is functional and access points are properly secured

    Coordinate with vendors and specialists for advanced repairs or contracted services, maintaining positive working relationships

    Track and manage inventory of tools, supplies, and materials to support ongoing maintenance needs

    Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs performed

    Ensure properties meet standards required to pass Federal, State, and Local inspections

    Assist with fire drills, utility checks, and other compliance-related inspections or safety protocols

    Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations

    Skills & Qualifications

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    Minimum one (1) year of experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field

    Knowledge of general maintenance techniques and basic repairs

    Ability to operate hand and power tools safely

    Physical ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work on feet for extended periods

    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

    Experience in groundskeeping or landscaping preferred

    Recent Physical and TB Report within the past year

    Previous experience in a residential or institutional setting is preferred
