HCT has an immediate need for an interim Infection Preventionist at a 200+ bed hospital in Washington. Responsibilities for this position include:

• assisting with the development, monitoring, and enforcement of policies specific to Surveillance, Prevention and Control Programs,
• coordinating Infection Prevention and Control throughout the hospital,
• monitoring the on-going effectiveness of these activities and interventions,

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor degree required
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in Infection Control in a hospital setting combined with knowledge of microbiology, epidemiology, statistical analysis, patient care standards, infectious disease, and sterilization/sanitation/disinfection practices; familiarity with NHSN reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software
• Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
• Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)

Pay Range: $160,000 annually, depending on experience, education, and location.
