The Assistant Chief Financial Officer (Assistant CFO) supports the Chief Financial Officer in the financial leadership, operational discipline, and long-term sustainability of the hospital. This role plays a critical part in translating financial strategy into execution, strengthening financial controls, and ensuring accurate, timely, and transparent financial information to support decision-making across the organization. The Assistant CFO is both a strategic partner and hands-on leader, working closely with operational leaders to improve financial performance, reinforce accountability, and support continuous improvement across the hospital. All other duties as assigned. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and operational finance. Strong understanding of hospital financial operations, reimbursement models, and regulatory requirements. High level of financial acumen paired with practical, operational thinking. Ability to communicate financial concepts clearly and credibly to clinical and operational leaders. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. All other duties as assigned.
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required.
• Master’s Degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) preferred.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with healthcare or hospital experience required.
• Required Licensure/Certification(s): CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification highly preferred.
