    Windle Design & Construction is looking for an experienced leader who brings strong design judgment, technical expertise, and leadership to high-quality residential projects. The ideal candidate is confident in managing multiple projects and serving as a trusted design partner to both clients and internal teams. The Interior Design Consultant is responsible for leading residential design projects from initial concept through project completion. This role oversees design development, documentation, client coordination, and cross-departmental collaboration. Compensation • Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 • Paid Time Off • 401(k) with up to 3% company match • Healthcare coverage: 40% employer contribution • Cell phone reimbursement: $40/month • Mileage reimbursement • Employee profit-sharing opportunity based on the company's year-end performance • Bonus Opportunity Responsibilities: • Lead design efforts on large-scale residential projects, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budget parameters. • Develop floor plans, design concepts, material palettes, and detailed documentation required for construction and installation. • Facilitate client meetings, present design solutions, and maintain consistent communication throughout all project phases. • Conduct site visits, including field measurements, milestone reviews, and coordination with project stakeholders. • Prepare and review proposals, selections, pricing information, and material specifications. • Oversee procurement coordination, order tracking, and delivery alignment with project schedules. • Produce organized and complete drawing sets, including plans, elevations, schedules, and technical details. • Collaborate with internal project managers, sales teams, and drafting support to ensure accuracy and constructibility. • Provide mentorship, guidance, and feedback to junior designers. • Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and initiative-based projects to support departmental goals. Qualifications: • Professional residential design experience is required. • Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept through construction. • Proficiency in space planning, FF&E specification, and residential design documentation via Chief Architect. • Ability to interpret construction details and coordinate with technical teams. • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage shifting priorities. • Experience mentoring or overseeing junior design staff is preferred. • Ability to work on-site and attend required field visits.
