    About the Opportunity

    We are preparing to welcome a new designer into our fast-growing, award-winning studio, working directly alongside our Lead Designer and Vice President.     What You’ll Do

    _ Design and Visualization_

    • Work in Revit, modeling, drafting, creating families, and supporting design development

    • Produce high-quality 3D visualizations and Enscape renderings. Experience with AI-enhanced imagery is a major advantage.

    • Assist in building compelling design presentations using Revit, Enscape, and Canva for client meetings and internal reviews.

    • Select materials, finishes, fixtures, and architectural elements for custom homes.

    _ Client and Team Collaboration_

    • Participate in client meetings and internal design reviews.

    • Help guide clients through the selection process with clarity, creativity, and organization.

    • Assist with entering and managing project selections within Buildertrend. Experience with this platform is a major plus.

    • Support both interiors and architectural workflows, depending on project needs.

    • Contribute ideas, feedback, and design perspectives that elevate project direction.

    _ Industry Engagement and Studio Presence_

    • Willingness to participate in social media content that highlights our work and design process.

    • Attend home builder events, open houses, design tours, and community gatherings as part of representing the studio.

    • Comfortable obtaining bid quotes from vendors as needed.

    • Excited to contribute to the public-facing identity of a rapidly growing, award-winning brand.

    Who You Are/ Education and Experience

    ● A designer or architectural designer with a strong creative voice. A 4-year design degree is strongly preferred.

    ● Experience level may range from a new graduate to a seasoned professional

    ● Strong proficiency in Revit is required.

    ● Experience in Enscape or other 3D rendering tools is required.

    ● Familiar with Revit families, templates, shortcuts, and modeling workflows.

    ● Passionate about modern residential architecture, materials, and design innovation.

    ● Able to juggle multiple projects with accuracy and enthusiasm.

    ● Enjoys working with clients and thrives in a small, collaborative, creative team.

    ● Highly motivated, curious, and eager to grow in a studio that supports ambition.

    ● Open to occasional evening or weekend hours during peak deadlines.

    Travel:

    This is primarily an in-office role based at our office in Urbandale, however, occasional travel may be required to visit client sites for meetings, project implementations, or on-site support. Travel is estimated at 10-20% of the time.
