  • Responsibilities

    DBI’s long-time client in San Francisco is seeking an interior designer with extensive experience. Focused on commercial interiors, you will work across clients of all types and scales in a growing and entrepreneurial studio.

    Responsibilities:

    • Being a part of a project team while working through the coordination and delivery of project concepting, design, detailing, documentation, and construction.
    • Foster a culture of creative and strategic design thinking through mentoring.
    • Engagement and coordination of engineers and other basic design consultants.
    • Awareness of project schedules and tracking of design milestones.
    • Attend project meetings and travel to and from project sites and client meetings as required.

    Requirements:

    • Technical proficiency plus design-oriented
    • Registrations not required
    • Strong skills in both project design and management
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Highly skilled with detailed drawings, construction documentation, and coordination.
    • Ability to quickly communicate creative design strategies through excellent graphic and verbal communication skills.
    • Have a firm knowledge of: BIM, Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office, and Photoshop.
    • Ability to collaborate well in a studio environment and work independently to service individual client needs.
    • Proficiency in documenting all phases of the design process.
    • Willingness to engage in an integrated design process inclusive of Interior Design, Signage, Graphics, and Landscape.
    • Minimum BS or BA in Architecture or Interior Design required.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in architectural design, documentation, and contract administration.
  • Compensation
    $110,000 per year
