Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join our remodeling team. This person will become involved after the contract is signed and will lead the homeowner through the pre-construction design phase.
The Interior Designer will guide clients through material selections, create mood boards, prepare accurate 2D drawings for our production team, and develop 3D visuals to help homeowners clearly understand the final design before construction begins.
This role requires strong design skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced remodeling environment.
Responsibilities
Lead the pre-construction design process with homeowners after contract signing
Meet with homeowners to understand their style, needs, budget, and project goals
Guide clients through material selections, including tile, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures, paint colors, and finishes
Create mood boards and design presentations for client approval
Prepare accurate 2D drawings that the remodeling team can use during construction
Create 3D renderings to help homeowners visualize the finished space
Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and construction teams to ensure designs are practical and buildable
Keep design selections organized and documented
Communicate design updates, changes, and decisions clearly with clients and the internal team
Help prevent delays by keeping the selection process on schedule
Maintain a professional and positive client experience throughout the design phase
Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in interior design, preferably in residential remodeling
Experience with SketchUp and/or AutoCAD,2020 Design
Strong understanding of materials, finishes, layouts, and residential design details
Ability to create accurate 2D drawings and helpful 3D visuals
Excellent communication and social skills
Comfortable working directly with homeowners
Strong organization and attention to detail
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work with construction teams
