Healthcare Negotiator & Analyst - Entry Level
Job Description
This is a full-time position with the INTERLINK operations team in Hillsboro, Oregon. Currently there are two attorneys that comprise the negotiating team, so we are seeking candidates with a Business Finance or Accounting degree with sales or service industry experience. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates seeking to use their numerical and analytical education, but in a negotiation environment.
Healthcare negotiations can be exciting for those who like analysis, like to develop persuasive arguments, enjoy business travel on occasion and want to gain very specialized knowledge. People who transition into healthcare seldom leave because of the compensation, interesting work and professional work environment.
INTERLINK is currently expanding its networks and negotiating rates for different types of health plans. Transplant contact negotiations are mostly for case rates, which include money for organ acquisition, hospital and professional fees into a lump sum payment. Hospitals have negotiations who are friendly and the negotiations are typically non-contentious. INTERLINK will supply all training and support for the appropriate candidate.
The position will also provide analytical support for the CancerCARE program, helping the management to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. They will also be working with the CancerCARE nurses assigning dollar values for changes in care and treatment plans as part of our value program.
This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations and Senior Director of Operations; a strong work ethic, consistent project completion and follow through are required.
