Itron is looking for a project coordinator to help support our CPS Energy Project in San Antonio Tx which involves defining, documenting, and reporting customer status/key metrics and milestones. This Intern will be working with project leadership and engineers on a local and global scale.

Duration: This is intended to be a four-month paid internship (~20-30 hours/week) beginning immediately, with potential to extend beyond the stated timeframe

Duties & Responsibilities

• Participate in development and the success of the CPS Energy Project

• Work with customer and project team members along with cross-functional stakeholders to gain an understanding of requirements, milestones, and metrics.

• Establish/Document/Update/Provide status reports on all key metrics to ensure the project is successful.

• Use workplace collaboration tools and technologies such as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams

• Track project and project team assignments and keep team informed of progress

• Collaborate with stakeholders effectively via workplace collaboration tools and technologies.

• Setup/Coordinate meetings, agendas, along with documenting meeting minutes and action items.

Required Skills & Experience

Education/Experience: Enrolled in a related accredited degree program OR seeking to return to the workforce to make a career pivot

• Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products such as Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint (or similar workplace collaboration tools)

• Professional workplace communication skills, including ability to communicate with stakeholders and write professionally with clear tone and accessible documentation

• The ability to work independently and manage one’s time independently and successfully

• Self-starter with an authentic and enthusiastic attitude to learn

• A positive attitude, willing to jump in and tackle new challenges and topics

• Available to dedicate at least 90 days to internship

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to stakeholders internally/externally

• Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’S) measures

• Project Management skills and/or desire for Project Management career

• Prior related work, internship or volunteer experience in a complex matrixed organization
