    Position : Intern, Social Media
    Location : Dumbo, Brooklyn (Hybrid: 2–3 days in office per week, based on your schedule and the team's needs)
    Reporting to: Senior Manager, Campaign Marketing
    Program Dates: 3–6 months; start and end dates are flexible
    Compensation: $16 per hour
    Hours: We're looking for an intern who can stay on through both seasons—working full-time (up to 40 hours/week) during the summer (June–August) and transitioning to part-time (20 hours/week) during the fall (September–December).

    • Summer (June–August): Full-time, up to 40 hours per week
    • Fall (September–December): Part-time, 20 hours per week

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    This is your chance to dive into the world of social media within the beauty industry! As a Social Media Intern at Soko Glam, you'll play an integral role in supporting our day-to-day content creation, community engagement, and campaign execution across key platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

    You'll collaborate closely with the campaign and creative teams to bring our brand voice to life online, while gaining valuable hands-on experience in content planning, social storytelling, and trendspotting. This role is ideal for someone creative, organized, and social media-savvy who's eager to build skills in digital marketing and brand communications.

    Throughout the internship, you'll be paired with a dedicated supervisor who will provide training, feedback, and guidance on projects. You'll also participate in professional development opportunities, gain exposure to various business functions, and have the chance to engage with senior leaders.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist with planning, scheduling, creating, and publishing social content across Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms
    • Monitor and engage with our social media community in a brand-aligned, timely, and thoughtful way
    • Research and present social trends, influencer content, and competitive activity to the team for content ideation and creation
    • Support content shoots and help organize visual assets and UGC
    • Track performance metrics and contribute to post-campaign reporting and insights
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, creative, and CX to support larger campaigns and initiatives

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Available to work full-time hours during the summer, and part-time hours during the fall if extending internship
    • Able to work on-site at our Dumbo, Brooklyn office a few days per week
    • Strong written and visual communication skills
    • Deep familiarity with social platforms, especially TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube
    • Proficiency in social content creation and editing
    • Creative thinker with a pulse on digital culture and emerging trends
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple tasks
    • Proactive, collaborative, and excited to learn
    • Interest in beauty, skincare, and/or lifestyle brands is a plus
    • Comfortable using tools like Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides; experience with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus

    Hourly Rate: $16.00/hour
