Reviews and analyzes IT supplier proposals. Coordinates strategic sourcing activities with project managers, engineering and other stakeholder departments to acquire Hardware/Software/Network technologies in a cost effective and timely manner. Processes purchase requisitions, change orders and requests for quotes to IT suppliers.

• Location of internship will be in Conway, AR
• Graduation date December 2024 - December 2025

PREFERRED

• Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program on Purchasing management, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business/Administration, Economics, Management, Education or a related field of study
• Microsoft office skills.
• Ability to demonstrate problem solving.
• General math and analytic skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly and to take on new challenges.
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Communication skills (email/verbal/presentation)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Initiates Requests for Quotations with suppliers & ensures that final product meets stakeholder need.
• Develops alternative project proposals for cost-savings or other beneficial aims.
• Negotiates price & audit proposals against contractual, historical benchmarks.
• Works with internal stakeholders for medium/high-priority and/or complex projects with appropriate oversight.
• Reviews supplier contracts & participates in contract terms analysis
• Issues purchase orders and assists to resolve logistical issues.
• Ensures positive working relationships with related support groups (Legal, Fixed Assets, Asset Mgmt., AP/AR, etc.).
