    Job Description:

    An Internal Audit Intern will be responsible for supporting the team in a variety of departmental activities such as audit planning, fieldwork, and administration. This role provides an exciting opportunity to learn and apply practical audit knowledge, showcase critical thinking skills, and contribute ideas in a fun and flexible team environment.

    This Summer Internship opportunity will take place in Tampa, FL with the option for a Hybrid/Remote work environment. The Internship will take place from June 5th, 2023 – August 11th, 2023. Applicable candidates will have opportunities for internship extension and/or full-time hiring.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Opportunity for direct involvement in auditing the operations of the company to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and processes.

    • Document audit walkthroughs of business operations using Microsoft Visio flowcharts or Word narratives.

    • Assist in performing substantive testing of internal controls and document results.

    • Provide industry research and audit planning support.

    • Develop, monitor, and track audit documentation request lists with business operations.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Management Information Systems, or related major at an accredited college or university

    • Minimum overall GPA of 3.25

    • Ability to work a minimum of 32 hours and up to 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

    • Rising Juniors or Seniors are preferred

    • Ability to comfortably work in a fast-paced environment

    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VISIO

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to apply problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills

    • Ability to develop public speaking and presentation skills

    • Ability to employ excellent and professional communication skills, both written and oral
