    Description:

    The International Aviation Professionals (IAP) Local 2750, an affiliate of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, is seeking a Professional Communications Specialist to join our corporate offices in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio.

    IAP Local 2750 represents the 2,400 professional pilots of Atlas Air. This position will be integral to our organization by providing communication from our leadership to our crew members. Additionally, the specialist will work with our Executive Board and various committee members to provide administrative support, reporting requirements, project coordination, and special project support, as needed.

    The ideal candidate will be a reliable self-starter, highly motivated, and detail oriented. The candidate will strive to produce quality work, require minimal supervision to complete tasks, and deliver results on time. Additionally, this individual will possess excellent writing skills, interpersonal skills, excel at team building, and promote a positive work environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist the Executive Board with communications to our crew members through the development of weekly scheduled newsletters as well as unscheduled announcements

    Coordinate individual and mass-mailing deliveries

    Manage general office functions and conduct general office support

    Create and maintain spreadsheets and databases to assist with project management.

    Direct questions to appropriate committees or personnel

    Ensure delivery of organization materials to crew members as needed

    Verify contract compliance complaints and recommend appropriate action to Executive Board Members

    Track metrics such as productivity and utilization of crew services

    Develop technical solutions to meet business needs

    Assist various committees with office administration for crew members

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Advanced level computer skills including proficiency in standard Microsoft Office Suite products

    Ability to create and analyze reports using advanced Microsoft Excel functions

    Familiarization with airline schedules and crew member contractual requirements Previous experience working with labor unions
