    Join a passionate team of individuals and technology enthusiasts that support colleges and universities across the nation to lead education in Cybersecurity! EC-Council, a leading EdTech services firm and information security certification body, is currently recruiting for three Academic Account Specialists (AAS)  to join their growing Academic division. The AAS will be responsible for existing account support and new business development within a specific region/territory across the US and/or Canada and Latin America. The AAS position will work under the Director of Academics and will support institutions through the EC-Council Academia Series and Partnership model (www.eccouncil.org/academia).

     What your responsibilities would be:

    • Maintaining and growing an account base within a specified territory 
    • Traveling to, or attending virtual academic conferences, summits and events (In a post pandemic world, travel is estimated to be 10-15%)
    • Preparing and implementing sales strategies and initiatives to increase awareness of the brand
    • Researching new business opportunities and performing lead generation outreach
    • Meeting outlined goals for sales activities and objectives
    • Working closely with the product team to plan product launches
    • Identifying grants and initiatives in Cybersecurity for EC-Council Academia to pursue
    • Establishing long term partnerships with credit and non-credit divisions in higher education while supporting their courses, programs, events and initiatives

    Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:

    • A bachelor’s degree or appropriate combination of education and experience
    • Higher education experience in a customer facing role such as admissions, enrollment advisor or career services
    • Candidates with a proven track record of past consultative sales experience will be considered
    • Experience in Training/ Educational/ IT industry
    • General understanding of higher education structure and various institutional models
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize time sensitive projects and deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of CRM tools (Zoho preferred)
    • Familiarity with print/ digital media
    • Strong problem-solving skills and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Ability to interact successfully with both internal and external customers at all levels
    • Ability to multitask, be flexible and work independently in a team environment

           

    Compensation is a base salary plus commission
