  • Responsibilities

    Core4ce is seeking a Network Engineer with experience operating in LAN and WLAN environments. The engineer should have experience developing, testing, documenting, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide LAN and WLAN standards and baseline configuration files to normalize and optimize its performance and availability in a multivendor (support Cisco, Juniper, Rukus Networks | Commscope LAN components, and Aruba WLAN components) environment. Experience with NetDevops is a plus.

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Collaborate with DHA LAN sustainment, deployment, and NETDEVOPs teams to automate the implementation of standards, normalization, and task optimization
    • Deliver engineering solution packages that resolve, address, and improve the DHA enterprise architecture, system, and component performance throughout its lifecycle.
    • Troubleshooting/fault isolation to include debugging and obscure problem solving, analysis, remediation, after action reports, and ticket resolution
    • Continuously evaluate and incorporate new network systems, platforms, tools, technologies, procedures, and methodologies.
    • Contribute to development and implementation packages which may include Analysis, Requirements, Solution Design, System Diagram, STIG, PPS, Deployment Guide, and Test reports
    • Have familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, Rukus Networks | Commscope LAN components, and Aruba WLAN components
    • Provide LAN & WLAN Tier III Subject Matter Expertise -level technical engineering support to production network solutions
    • Evaluate and recommend solutions to improve DHA network capabilities through the insertion of emerging network technology, security, protection, detection, monitoring, and capacity improvement solutions
    • Provide weekly report of activities and accomplishments

     

     

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 5+ Years’ experience working with complex LAN and WLAN environments
    • Solid understanding of enterprise networks and associated technologies
    • Experience with Cisco, Juniper
    • Cisco CCNP or higher or other vendor equivalent or extensive proof of job experience
    • Experience with NetDevops is a plus.
    • Experience working with DHA is a plus
    • Work in a team centric environment and complete tasks assigned by team leads
    • Secret Clearance preferred or ability to obtain

    WHAT YOU’VE DONE:

    • 10-15 years of production experience, preferably in an agency setting or other industry-related experience – including management experience.
    • Masterful understanding of production phases in all facets and mediums of production and their respective processes, with a flexible curious mind to help evolve and modernize production.
    • Solid understanding of SAG and non-union guidelines with significant experience with social production.
    • Negotiated and managed multiple large bids and/or overall budgets for productions with multiple partners.
    • Managed personal workload and time management while mentoring others.
    • Simultaneously think and express ideas both strategically and tactically, ensuring your information is tailored to the production experience of your audience. Able to explain complex production realties in lay terms and ensure all feel empowered and clear on the overall production plan and process.
    • Demonstrated strength and resilience through change and challenges.
    • Led dynamic teams and effectively collaborated with multiple personalities at various levels.
    • Delivered direct and clear feedback – both positive and negative – in a timely, transparent, and kind way.
