    ABOUT YOU:

    • To support Natural Product Solutions with technical expertise in the following categories; Application work, Demo creation, Product creation, Technical support, Analytical testing, Team support, and product maintenance.

    YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME FOCUSING ON THE FOLLOWING TASKS…

    • Application & Analytical Testing
      • Test and analyze natural colors in multiple mediums, depending upon end customer needs and product, to achieve optimal performance in their end application
        • modifying and/or developing new formulations based on specific project brief
        • evaluating, identifying and selecting appropriate solutions and technology from portfolio
        • ensuring color performance, fastness, accurate color reproduction, stability and durability of products under various conditions
      • Create and test items analytically to quantify results for food protection and color effectiveness
      • Test FP items and finished products with various standard methods (peroxide, TBA, FFA, P Anisdine, rancimat etc)
      • Maintain testing supplies (chemicals beakers etc)
      • Maintain proper PPE items in accordance to safety regulations.
      • Use appropriate color measuring equipment to produce results for reporting purposes and communicate effectively to team
    • Food Protection Library
      • Maintain current library of Food protection materials
      • Rotate stock in accordance to dates
      • Sample to customer as defined by projects
      • Request stock from various extraction sites
      • Maintain positive working relationship with various technical groups and extraction sites for supplies and products.
    • Color Library
      • Maintain current library of color.
      • Adjust color library according to customer demand
      • Rotate stock in accordance to dates
      • Sample to customer as defined by projects
      • Proactively request stock from various extraction sites
      • Maintain positive working relationship with various technical groups and extraction sites for supplies and products.
    • Demo creation
      • Create demos that showcase Frutarom color/FP in accordance to project and application
      • Create demos in accordance to Salesperson’s request.
      • Work collaboratively with other departments to support their color/ FP requests.
      • Write detailed summary on work done for demo created.
    • Team support
      • Maintain working relationship with various groups within IFF, Tastepoint, and Frutarom
      • Support creation of demos by those teams
      • Lend technical expertise in selection of color and or FP for application.
      • Share knowledge of new and upcoming products to foster collaborative projects
      • Support Salespeople with technical visits as needed
    • Providing technical support;
      • Help manage the technical correspondence between the sales team and their clients.
      • Help manage the technical correspondence between the sales team and regulatory.
      • Provide support directly to customers in certain cases as needed
      • Help salespeople pick the best product for the customers
    • Attend Trade shows and technical symposiums

    Required Skills

    • BA/BS Degree, science or food technology or related field
    • MS Degree, science or food technology and Previous experience in applications, preferably with an emphasis on customer demos
    • Knowledge of the chemistry of oxidation preferable
    • Knowledge of natural colors and their blending preferable
    • Previous experience in experimental design and shelf life testing.

    Required Experience

    • BA/BS Degree, science or food technology focus preferred and a minimum of 5 years of experience within Snacks, Seasoning and/or Savory applications
    • MS Degree, science or food technology focus preferred and a minimum of 3 years of experience within Snacks, Seasoning and/or Savory applications
  • Qualifications
    • BA/BS Degree, science or food technology or related field
    • MS Degree, science or food technology and Previous experience in applications, preferably with an emphasis on customer demos
    • Knowledge of the chemistry of oxidation preferable
    • Knowledge of natural colors and their blending preferable
    • Previous experience in experimental design and shelf life testing.
