    As Seasoning Flavourist you will have the opportunity to lead the Seasoning Creation for some of the most exciting projects in the Snack Category. Working in a team environment, IFF will be looking for you to drive innovation and creativity to assist our customers in enhancing their existing brand portfolio and in the launch of their new product lines.     The Seasoning Flavorist works independently & as team member on all brief types. He/She works closely with sales to drive creation & modification of winning Seasonings and demonstrates creative leadership in working with a regional team to maximize IFF technology & innovative practices.

     

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

     

    • Create winning seasonings & taste solutions within predefined time/quality/cost criteria
    • Manage projects in response to customer briefings, to achieve profitable business growth
    • Actively build strong multi-level relationships with key customers in partnership with Sales
    • Collaborate cross functionally and cross regionally to support overall goals of Snacks EAME
    • Lead technical presentations including to regional customers
    • Anticipate, investigate and resolve problems with raw materials and finished seasonings as needed
    • Utilize IFF technology to deliver unique solutions to the marketplace
    • Support introduction of new raw materials in the creative portfolio
    • Support the scale up of new formulations in pilot plant and production
    • Test seasoning functionality in lab scale and snack manufacturing environment
    • Motivate, mentor and train other members of the team such as Trainees and junior Seasoning Flavorists

    Required Skills

     

    • Top level competence in seasoning creation and delivery systems for snacks end use
    • Expert tasting and evaluation skills in the snack & savory segment
    • Proactively evaluates & determines added value of new materials and technologies
    • Increases own knowledge through participating in courses and reading industry literature
    • Outstanding team player with excellent communication skills
    • Fluent in English. Additional European languages highly desirable

    Required Experience

     

    • Minimum Bachelor (B.S.) Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Life Sciences or any other relevant discipline
    • Minimum 8 years experience in flavor industry creative function (Snack & Savory segment)
    • Must have interacted with global and regional accounts

     

    PREFERRED:

     

    • Master’ degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Food Engineering and/or Chemistry Engineering
    • At least 10 years proven track record working as Seasoning Flavorist internationally
    • At least 2 years experience in the FMCG Snack sector
    • Trained chef with minimum of 3 years restaurant experience
