    IFF is inviting a professional and versatile individual to join us as REGIONAL MARKETING MANAGER – PERSONAL WASH & SKINCARE, GREATER ASIA. This is an excellent opportunity for mid-senior level experienced talent with Marketing expertise to be part of a global leading Flavors & Fragrances house!

     

    The Regional Marketing Manager will be an ASIA regional expert responsible to track all regional market movements for the Personal Wash and Skincare category. The Regional Marketing Manager will identify customer’s needs and opportunities to promote IFF Fragrance solutions by driving differentiating and unique Value Proposition. Working in close collaboration with Commercial teams on the growth objectives, the Regional Marketing Manager will drive & coordinate marketing category activities from project conception to final completion at a regional level. The Regional Marketing Manager works on gaining deep understanding of customer’s brands, portfolios and benefits in order to identify new opportunities in the market.

     

    In addition the Regional Marketing Manager is expected to drive and coordinate marketing category activities from project conception to final completion working in close partnership with Sales and Creative teams.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Define and implement the regional marketing strategy for the category at a regional level, aligned with regional commercial strategy.
    • Responsible for analyzing market dynamics and developing deep understanding of customer brands and strategies in the region.
    • Become the regional expert for assigned category(s), through analysis of customer launches and trends, market / brands figures, and competitive landscape intelligence.
    • Liaise with Country Marketing Managers to provide input and sets priorities of Region / Country efforts; ensure consolidation of marketing tools / deliverables for the region.
    • Collaborate with the Regional Personal Wash and Skincare Consumer Insight Lead for the specified categories and help translate insights, market knowledge and brand intelligence into differentiating and competitive Value Propositions.
    • Customize tools / technologies coming from Global Innovation Marketing teams with brand implications at Regional Level for the assigned category.
    • Partner with Account Managers on core listing initiatives for Key Regional customers. 
    • Liaise with Regional Marketing Managers for the assigned categories based in other geographies to ensure consolidation of marketing tools and knowledge sharing.
    • Comfortable interacting with diverse groups, cross functions (Consumer Insights / Sales / Scent Design Group) and cross regions.
    • Promote an ongoing pipeline of product / category trends, in alignment with regional strategic priorities and account plans.
    • Be able to articulate IFF capabilities & branding both internally and with customers.
    • Foster innovative thinking in order to develop relevant concepts / insights which are in line with the category drivers and customer strategies that will help create unique fragrance solutions.
    • Develop and share strategic category information to inspire both internal and external customers in the region.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of category consumer trends and future need scenarios at a regional level, including gap analysis, competitors and market intelligence.
    • Translate cross category market trends into relevant product and brand concepts for the assigned category.
    • Strengthen relationships with key regional customer team and become preferred customer of choice on market / consumers purposes by engaging on customer briefs in partnership with sales team.
    • Promote an ongoing pipeline of Value to market Propositions / Solutions, in alignment with regional commercial priorities.
    • Mentor more junior / country marketing members to ensure knowledge sharing.

    Required Skills

    ESSENTIAL

    • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Chemistry, Business Administration or any other relevant discipline.
    • Excellent presentation skills: Ability to build and make impactful marketing presentation.
    • Project management skills to create structures, milestones, interact with cross functional teams and delivering against deadlines.
    • Proficient in operating Microsoft environment programs (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and interested in developing creative skills to manage Adobe Photoshop basics as needed.
    • Creativity and Passion for Fragrances and Consumers Trends with strong interest in product, concept, Olfactive Fragrance development and consumer understanding.
    • Knowledge of Personal Wash and Skincare categories in Greater Asia.
    • Asia macro trend understanding is desirable.
    • Strong business acumen, good analytical and problem solving skills.
    • High drive for results and self-driven.
    • Fluency in Business English communication and articulation.
    • Ability to deal with ambiguity.

    Required Experience

    ESSENTIAL

    • At least 6-8 years of Marketing experience in Fragrance house, Brand management across Fragrance FMCG industries, Consulting Communication or Advertising Agencies.
    • Proven track record of Marketing experience in B2B fast pace business environment.
    • Marketing expertise in Personal Wash and Skincare categories in Greater Asia.
    • Quantitative and Qualitative market research experience.
