    It’s an exciting time to be part of IFF’s R&D team. As a research scientist, you will be responsible for developing natural flavors and taste modulation ingredients in line with corporate strategies and business targets. As we continue to accelerate our momentum, you’ll put our global customers at the heart of our business and develop globally accepted ingredients.     ABOUT YOU:

    To be successful in this role you must have three years of previous research experience in a food, biochemical, or biotechnological environment. A minimum of a Master’s degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Microbiology is required. You will need to demonstrate strong abilities in cultivating innovation, delivering high quality work, and driving projects to completion. It would be a bonus if you had previous experience in food or flavor industry developing natural flavor ingredients.

    YOU WILL SPEND YOUR TIME…

    • Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technological development
    • Evaluating and implementing research ideas, and writing reports and summaries
    • Planning and conducting experiments leading to the commercialization of innovative flavor and taste modulating ingredients
    • Organizing new products testing and characterization
    • Liaising with Flavorists, Application Scientists, and Process Engineers
    • Contributing to team success

    Required Skills

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Skills in microbial or enzymatic transformation of flavor precursors in foods
    • Knowledge of food and flavor chemistry
    • Basic wet chemistry and instrumental analytical skills
    • Communication and interpersonal skills
    • Skills in analyzing and solving problems
    • Ability and willing to taste
