    INTRODUCING IFI AND JOB DESCRIPTION FOR WASHINGTON D.C. MINISTRY LEADER:

    International Friendships, Inc. is a growing faith-based organization, whosemission is to extend life-changing hospitality and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, social events and trips, as well as digital ways to connect with students. Washington DC is one of the most influential cities in the world. It's also home to over 17,000 international students at George Washington, Georgetown, George Mason, and several other universities. This is an amazing place to reach some of the finest students from all over the world from one of the most influential areas of the world.

    WASHINGTON D.C. MINISTRY LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES The Washington D.C. Ministry Leader will (list not all inclusive):

    • Service to international students: Start a bible study, haveevents, and maintainat least one discipleship relationship
    • Register IFI as a recognized student organization, maintain that registration, and maintain a good relationship with other campus international organizations
    • Foster relationships with campus staff and organizations
    • Begin to establish partnerships with local churches
    • Work to mobilize volunteers to help with IFI activities
    • Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships for the budgeted needs of the role by sharing the vision of the ministry

    QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED OF A WASHINGTON D.C. MINISTRY LEADER, INCLUDING SPIRITUAL CHARACTERISTICS

    • Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
    • Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to IFI's mandate from the Lord to extend God's love globally through equipping Christians to be effective cross-cultural communicators of the Gospel
    • Well organized with attention to detail and ability to complete tasks independently
    • Be a self-starter, able to work independently, as well as a team player
    • Ability to work under stress and be flexible
    • Proficient with technology, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED FOR A WASHINGTON D.C. MINISTRY LEADER:

    • Bachelor degree (or higher) in education and/or ministry-related field or demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people
    • Cross-cultural ministry experience, preferred

    HOURS AND PAY FOR THE WASHINGTON D.C. MINISTRY LEADER:

    This is a part-time, salaried position. A Washington D.C. Ministry Leader may need to work evenings and/or weekends for specific events/projects. Attendance at several conferences each year may be required. This position requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support tocover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses. After acceptance to become a staff member, we provide training to develop a team of ministry partners.The pay range is typically between $24,000 and $70,000 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors.
