    Job Responsibilities:

    • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients.

    • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders in individuals of all ages.

    • Create and execute individualized treatment plans for patients.

    • Prescribe and manage medications for psychiatric conditions.

    • Provide therapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups.

    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure the most effective treatment outcome.

    • Monitor and evaluate patient progress regularly and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

    • Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, including medications and therapy.

    Skills:

    • Proficient in conducting physical examinations and interpreting medical findings
    • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to psychiatric and mental health conditions
    • Experience in providing primary care services in a psychiatric setting
    • Familiarity with clinical research methods and evidence-based practice guidelines
      • Knowledge of home care practices and ability to provide appropriate guidance to patients and their families

    Required Experience and Qualifications  Current unencumbered license to practice in the State of Maryland with  A minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.  Effective verbal and written communication skills  Good knowledge of computer systems and applications, including electronic health record (EHR / EMR) usage
