GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Works in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of First Cape.

Assists the ministry pastor to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry.

SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Ministry Staff weekly in completing Kids Min preparations for Sunday mornings in a timely manner ( slides, games, set up, skits/costumes, music, classroom activities etc).

Teach/Admin for Sunday services in June and July.

Help with production organization, administrative duties, and creative planning including rehearsals for VBS both Naples and Cape Coral.

Help plan out Summer/Fall services on Planning Center Online.

Help with planning/drafting weekly & future emails for teams.

Help with Kids Min videos/songs for VBS promotion, Summer and Fall.

Help communicate and follow up in a timely fashion with special event teams for VBS.

Help ensure all creative elements are ordered and ready for VBS teams by March (i.e props, costumes for all teams. Hype Crew supplies etc.).

Help with any VBS classroom prep as requested by Kids Ministry Team.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Education, Ministry, Child Development, or a related field is preferred.

Experience working with children in a church, camp, or school setting is a plus.

Familiarity with Kids Ministry programs, Vacation Bible School (VBS), or similar events is helpful.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to draft clear, professional emails and communicate effectively with ministry teams, volunteers, and families.

Confident in speaking to and leading large groups of children during Sunday services and VBS events.

COMPUTER AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Experience with Planning Center Online (PCO) or willingness to learn.

Basic video editing or digital content creation skills for Kids Ministry videos and songs is a plus.

REASONING ABILITY

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, adjust to changing plans, and think creatively.

Capable of making quick decisions during live events and rehearsals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stamina to actively participate in children's activities, including games, skits, and event setups.Comfortable standing, walking, and engaging with children for extended periods.They must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds for classroom setup and supply management. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to support those with disabilities.

*May be required to drive or have transportation between First Naples and First Cape church campuses.
