    Business Staffing of America, Inc. and The Zion Group , in partnership with the U.S. Army, Bureau of Land Management, and Veteran Affairs are excited to announce an exclusive set of internships available to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within the prior 6 months.

    With our commitment to workforce diversification, those who are of minority backgrounds, identify as veterans or are disabled will be given strong consideration for these highly sought out internships. This internship is available to Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), Historically Black Colleges or Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Tribal Colleges & Universities (TCUs). WHEN: Starts January 8, 2021, for a minimum of 10 weeks of continuous full-time (40 hours per week)

    WHERE: Washington D.C. and other major cities

    WHO: Junior, Senior, Graduate students and/or those who have graduated within the prior 6 months// Min. 2.5 GPA// Background Check

    COMPENSATION TO YOU:

    • Intern awardees will be paid a $500.00 weekly stipend ($5,500.00 total internship). 
    • Round-trip airfare to/from internship location is provided for non-local students.
    • Assistance to locate and secure housing during the internship for non-local students.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: The ideal candidate shall be:

    1. A student that is not currently a Federal employee.
    2. Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.  Undergraduate is defined as an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program.
    3. Recent student graduates from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited Minority Serving Institure (MSI) college or university.  To qualify as a recent graduate the student's official graduation date cannot exceed six (6) months prior to the start date of the internship period.
    4. Each candidate shall possess at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
    5. The candidate shall also be able to pass a background investigation.
    6. Must be eligible to work in the United States (a lawful permanent resident or otherwise legally eligible to work in the US per for FAR part 22.18)

     

    STUDENT INTERNS WHO POSSESS THE FOLLOWING CHARACTERISTICS ARE HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL:

    • Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic thinking abilities
    • Presentation and oral data collection skills
    • Self-starter/can work independently
    • Flexible/resourceful
    • Ability to adapt new skills and ideas to the public sector
