    Opportunity for a pro-active, talented law firm Marketing/Business Development Assistant with strong research, writing and analytical skills to support the Corporate practice.

    Responsibilities

    • Conduct research on existing and prospective clients, competitor activity and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, pitches, presentations and proposals.
      • Preparing company reports and profiles including background information, advisory relationships and market intelligence utilizing internal and external data sources; and
      • Monitoring and tracking new developments in various industries and geographic regions using internal and external data sources.
    • Assist with the preparation of pitch material and RFP responses to win new business, including by:
      • Maintaining up-to-date collection of marketing and pitch materials as they relate to the Corporate practices
      • Compiling initial drafts of pitches
      • Maintain records for, and analyzing outcomes of, pitches and fee proposals.
    • Support Corporate BD team members with the preparation of agendas and materials in connection with regular practice group and client team meetings.
    • Enter Corporate BD activities and client intelligence into Firm CRM system.
    • Assist Corporate BD and PR teams with award submissions and other profile-raising initiatives.
    • Assist Corporate BD team with compiling directory submissions, including Chambers, Legal 500 and IFLR1000.
    • Assist Corporate BD team with league table processes and submissions.
    • Collaborate with Corporate BD and Events teams to assist with internal and external events, seminars, webinars and sponsorships.
    • Collaborate with Corporate BD, Marketing and Communications teams on website content and other practice-specific content.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, liberal arts or related field desired.
    • One to two years of relevant experience or law firm experience as a paralegal
    • The position requires a proactive and motivated team player. The individual must be able to adapt to change, balance competing demands and manage demands outside of traditional business hours.
    • Excellent analytical and research skills and the ability to process information from a wide variety of sources.
    • Extraordinary attention to detail.
    • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
    • Strong relationship management skills and ability to work on a team and on own initiative.
    • Experience working independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
    • Strong computer skills with various Microsoft programs (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), CRM and research tools.
    • Expected to monitor emails outside of normal business hours and be available as needed.
