Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Commercial Plumbing and Piping Estimator with experience in Trimble software to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of plumbing and piping projects, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability. This individual will play a crucial role in securing new business opportunities and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize Trimble software to accurately estimate the cost of plumbing and piping projects for commercial and industrial clients.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
• Prepare detailed and competitive bid proposals in a timely manner.
• Conduct site visits and evaluations as needed to assess project requirements and constraints.
• Stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and material costs to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
• Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality standards.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, negotiations, and presentations with clients and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records of estimating activities and update databases as needed.
• Support the project team during the transition from estimating to project execution phase.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field helpful, but not required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial plumbing and piping estimation.

• Proficiency in Trimble software (Trimble Accubid preferred).

• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and building codes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in estimating.

• Knowledge of local market trends and suppliers in the Nashville, TN area preferred.

Compensation: This is a full-time, onsite position with a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
