RICAR Business Consulting LLC (RBC) is seeking a highly skilled Interventional Radiologist to support the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center under the Integrated Community Staffing ****Program (ICSP). This position plays a critical role in providing exceptional care to Veterans through advanced interventional radiology services.
The Interventional Radiologist will perform diagnostic and therapeutic vascular and non-vascular image-guided procedures, interpret imaging studies, and participate in quality assurance initiatives. This role directly supports high-quality patient outcomes within a collaborative VA healthcare environment.
- Perform angiography, embolization, biopsy, and ablation procedures.
- Interpret imaging studies and complete reports within 24 hours.
- Collaborate with surgical and radiology teams to coordinate care.
- Participate in QA, peer review, and M&M conferences.
- Maintain credentialing and compliance with VA policies and standards.
Minimum of three (3) years of post-fellowship experience in interventional radiology. Prior VA, federal, or academic hospital experience is preferred.
Required: MD or DO degree, completion of accredited radiology residency and interventional radiology fellowship, active state medical license (valid in any U.S. state), and board certification or eligibility in Interventional Radiology. BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Preferred: Familiarity with VA systems such as VetPro, CPRS, and VistA.
On-site at James J. Peters VA Medical Center, 130 West Kingsbridge Road, Bronx, NY 10468. This is a hospital-based position; remote or hybrid work options are not available.
Full-time contract position. Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (8.5 hours/day including lunch). On-call or after-hours support may be required and compensated per negotiated agreement.
Annual Salary Range: $500,000 – $650,000
Hourly Equivalent: Approximately $240/hr – $310/hr (based on a 2080-hour full-time schedule).
