  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiologist to join our dynamic team at Heartland Vascular Care . You will be responsible for performing a range of minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance to diagnose and treat various medical conditions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, patient care, and collaboration & communication with a team of clinical and non-clinical members.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform a variety of interventional procedures including, but not limited to, angiography, stent placement, biopsies, catheter placements, and embolization.
    • Utilize advanced imaging techniques (ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy) to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
    • Work collaboratively with referring physicians to develop optimal treatment plans for patients.
    • Consult with patients to explain procedures, answer questions, and address any concerns pre- and post-procedure.
    • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety during interventional procedures.
    • Maintain detailed and comprehensive medical records of procedures performed and patient interactions.
    • Stay current with the latest advancements in interventional radiology techniques and technologies.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute to patient management strategies.
    • Provide education and training to medical staff and residents in the field of interventional radiology.
    • Adhere to all regulatory and institutional policies and guidelines regarding radiological practices.

    Qualifications:

    • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
    • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Radiology.
    • Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology.
    • Board certification in Radiology, with subspecialty certification in Interventional Radiology preferred.
    • Valid medical license to practice in Illinois
    • Strong clinical and procedural skills in interventional techniques.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety.
