    Location: Audie L Murphy Memorial Veterans Hospital, 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78249-4404. **
    ** Pay: $262 per hour.

    Sign-on bonus: $15,000 with a one-year commitment.

    Schedule:

    Will normally work Monday through Friday, normally between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm, with a thirty (30) minute unpaid lunch period, (if applicable). There will be on-call hours.

    Responsibilities :

    Provide interpretive and patient care services within the scope of diagnostic/interventional radiology

    • Timely interpretation and communication of imaging results, including entry into digital medical records and verbal notification of critical findings
    • Provide consultation services, comparative reports, and participate in clinical conferences/committees as requested by referring physicians
    • Ensure overall safety of imaging patients, including oversight of contrast administration and response to adverse patient reactions
    • Review requests and ensure appropriate imaging protocols, preparations, and medications have been ordered
    • Assist, train, supervise, and mentor radiology residents in performing procedures and interpreting studies
    • Provide education and training to members of the medical staff through various conferences, committees, and lecture series
    • Participate in quality control/quality management, including department and hospital review level peer reviews

    Education and qualifications:

    • Must possess a clean MD license from any state, commonwealth, or territory of the United States.
    • Must be board certified.
    • BLS/ACLS certified.
    • Must be a citizen of the United States.
