Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this critical role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and comfort during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after interventional procedures.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) lines as required.
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Assist physicians during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring all equipment is ready and functioning properly.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting vital signs, medications administered, and procedural outcomes.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Educate patients and their families about post-procedure care and recovery expectations.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Certfications: ARRT R, BLS, Fluoro Permit, LA Fire Card , State licensed
Years of Experience: 2 year(s)
Experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Previous experience in interventional radiology or a similar nursing specialty is preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment skills with the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient conditions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Familiarity with radiologic imaging techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Pay: $72.34 per hour
