Interventional Radiology Physician - VA Medical Center

Salary Range: $400,000 - $500,000 annually
About the Role
CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist for a VA Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK. The physician will perform a full range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures for the veteran patient population, including vascular and non-vascular interventions, image-guided biopsies, and minimally invasive treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures including angiography, embolization, stenting, thrombolysis, and image-guided drainage
- Conduct image-guided biopsies, ablations, and minimally invasive treatments
- Interpret diagnostic imaging studies (CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy) as related to interventional procedures
- Provide pre-procedure consultations and post-procedure follow-up care
- Collaborate with surgery, oncology, gastroenterology, and other clinical services on multidisciplinary patient care
- Maintain clinical documentation in VA electronic health record systems
- Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety programs
- Provide on-call coverage as required per facility schedule
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology with subspecialty certification or CAQ in Vascular and Interventional Radiology (ABR)
- Active, unrestricted Oklahoma state medical license (or ability to obtain)
- DEA registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of post-fellowship clinical experience in interventional radiology
- Ability to pass VA background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in VA healthcare system or federal healthcare settings
- Fellowship training in interventional radiology from ACGME-accredited program
- Experience with full spectrum of vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures
- VA CPRS or Cerner electronic health record experience
- Active participation in SIR (Society of Interventional Radiology) or equivalent professional organization
