Job Summary
ACI Health is seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work in a Level II trauma center, performing a variety of imaging procedures including CT scans, sonography, PET scans, and mammography. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in emergency medicine settings. The Radiologic Technologist will play a crucial role in patient care by providing high-quality imaging services that assist in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, sonography, PET scans, and mammography.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of all imaging studies performed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and patient care plans.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the imaging department.
- Stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing education and training.
Requirements
- Certs REQ: AART, BLS, Fluoro, State License
- At least 2 years of experience as Interventional Radiology Tech.
- Proficiency in CT scanning, sonography, PET scanning, nuclear medicine, and mammography is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency medicine situations.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in all imaging practices.
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 15:00)
Type of Facility: Acute Care Hospital
Is on-call REQ? Yes - Call would be expected 1-2 days week and rotating weekend
