The Human Resources Director, Training, Monitoring & Evaluation will inform the development of a humanitarian reception system for asylum seekers in New York City that is data-driven, protection-centered, and responsive to client needs and interests for the New York City Health and Hospitals (H+H) Humanitarian Emergency Response & Relief Centers (HERRC) team involved in providing services to asylum seekers at HERRCs across New York City. The HERRC is to provide temporary refuge for adults who are seeking asylum in New York.

The HRD supports the design of data-driven, client informed programming and leads the development, implementation, and oversight of strategies to strengthen monitoring, evaluation, and learning across the project cycle. This role reports to the Project Executive and closely coordinates with Senior Project Managers, client leadership, and a corporate Human Resource Executive.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) or more years related human resources experience across the full breadth of Human Resources areas of expertise including performance management, employee relations, on-boarding and overall broad range of HR functional areas
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Three (3) or more years of management experience
• Experience working in large scale, complex and quickly evolving environments
• Proven ability to utilize and synthesize large data sets and make decisions accordingly
• Demonstrated ability to establish trust and inspire confidence across all levels of the organization
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to confidently motivate, mentor, and guide
• Proven ability to execute against organizational HR and program goals, providing solutions and managing against tactical and strategic needs
• Solutions oriented, problem solver, with the ability to drive decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to partner effectively with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills necessary, with the ability to develop and share recommendations succinctly and accurately
• Ability to successfully handle multiple priorities
