    Job Title:   Clinical Digital Solutions Consultant

    This is an opportunity to join Intuitive Surgical, and support the Orpheus product which was recently acquired to accelerate the development of our integrated digital communications platform for hospitals. Orpheus provides technology to enable easier capturing, archiving, live streaming and sharing of clinical video and other data around diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, with a complete integration with electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archival and communications (PACS) systems. The Orpheus Medical solution is deployed in hospitals in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

    Primary Function of Position:

    Responsible for supporting the sales and marketing efforts and conducting customer product demos, workflow analysis discussions with the customer, tradeshows, design the customer solution and discuss clinical and IT aspects, impementation and training. 

    The Clinical Digital Solutions Consultant will lead customer meetings, demos, tradeshows and other events  designed to identify opportunities.  Implement and train the Orpheus Solution in numerous clinical settings and specialties. The Clinical Digital Solutions Consultant will engage with clinical end users, system and IT managers and as required with Hospital Executives and Leadership teams.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • In collaboration with sales team defines the Orpheus Solution agenda for the region.
    • Conduct Orpheus Solution demos and trial initiatives with targeted customers
    • Manage complex customer events (on site demo) involving multi-departmental collaboration and multi-faceted solutions
    • Provide consulting services to deliver value to the customer
    • Promote collaboration with Intuitive teammates to establish and achieve Orpheus implementation goals
    • Onboard, coach, and mentor new and existing team members
    • Participate in the training on and launch of new products and/or procedures
    • Become a subject matter expert and trusted client advisor for Orpheus
    • Participate in departmental and cross-functional projects to develop or improve Orpheus processes, deliverables, and other material
    • Work with the Orpheus Sales Manager in developing a sales plan tailored to the local market
    • Become an Orpheus expert to assist training and delivery of the Orpheus Solution as it transitions and managed by Orpheus Prof. Services.
    • Work with senior hospital staff and key clinicians in the development and execution of a plan to effectively utilize the Orpheus Solution at new customer sites, ensuring ongoing commitment to the system.
    • Drive continuous expansion of the user base by working with key hospital staff and thought leaders to develop a qualified lead funnel. Regular activities consist of formal presentations, informal events, and get-togethers
    • Effectively convert high potential leads and drive training activities
    • Help drive sales through new product introductions and solution selling
    • Responsibly manage administrative tasks; reporting of sales/procedures, outcomes of sales activities, submission of expense reports, etc.
    • Lead clinical teams through training sessions, helping them understand system operations.
    • Be a resource to the clinical and administrative team, providing guidance and insight on the use of Intuitve
    • Suggest, develop and execute strategic plan to grow sales targets and to expand the company's customer base and revenue.
    • Work closely with product management to define international market requirements and product enhancements.

    Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:

    • Minimum B.S./B.A. degree preferred or equivalent clinical/medical degree or experience
    • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience including 2 or more years in healthcare sales
    • Proven track record in sales achievement and leadership
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive communication skills
    • Success in introducing new technologies to the market is a plus
    • Knowledge of the Operating Room environment preferred
    • Solid expertise and experience in delivery consulting services to deliver value to the customer
    • Communication – ability to deliver consistent and effective communication across organizational levels
    • Training ability – demonstrated commitment to customer and peer training, specifically related to advanced technology within a clinical environment
    • Customer success focus – ability to discover and understand customer needs, engage and inspire customers to adopt new and effective solutions
    • Interdependent partnering – demonstrated record/examples promoting collaborative exchange and driving results through others with high communication

     

    Additional Notes and Physical Requirements

    • Able to enter surgical and other patient care areas
    • Ability to travel up to 75%. Some short notice travel required
    • Able to Lift 50 lbs
