    INVARIANT, a bipartisan government relations, communications, and public affairs firm, seeks COMMUNICATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS INTERNS for spring 2022.

    We are consultants to both Fortune 500 and the most disruptive new companies in the country as well as trade associations and non-profits. You will work in a dynamic environment, helping our clients build their brands. We look at communications, public affairs, government relations, and business strategy holistically.

    While the internship is designed to be in person, there may be opportunity for remote work.  Please indicate your ability to work in person or remotely in your cover letter.  Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for all Invariant employees, including interns. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Interns perform a range of duties, including media and social media monitoring, research, drafting memos, and creating social media content.
    • Interns will have the opportunity to learn about strategic communications and public affairs
    • Daily responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the firm.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong research and writing ability.
    • High level of comfort with social media and other online platforms.
    • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, is a plus.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
    • Established attention to detail and willingness to take initiative.

    The interview process will begin in mid-November and end in mid-December, with a break over the Thanksgiving holiday.  Interns will begin their term with Invariant no earlier than January 10.

    Intern positions are paid. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES ABLE TO COMMIT TO A FULL-TIME INTERNSHIP.
