Job Description
Inventiv Technologies, a growing Scottsdale, AZ-based ManagedServices Provider, is expanding and needs an experiencedNetwork Engineer who will help design, build and manage IT infrastructure environments for our clients.
This role requires a seasoned engineer with excellent working knowledge of computers, servers, and network infrastructure (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls). The right candidate will also play an active role in the managed IT services sales and support process and will require the ability to build rapport with clients and their teams. You should have 6+ years' experience implementing and administering servers and networks. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, enjoy working within a team environment, is able to multitask, and is very adept at logical troubleshooting, testing experience, task management skills, and root cause analysis capabilities.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to:
- IT support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications
- Support virtual environments built on Microsoft's Hyper-V and VMware.
- Design, implementation, and support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows Server, SQL Server, SharePoint, Office 365, etc.
- Engineer and implement system solutions for clients using technologies that meet their needs
- Implement and support backup and disaster recovery solutions. Datto experience a plus.
- Technical engineering and support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and system security, etc.
- Remote access solution implementation and support using VPN and Remote Desktop Services
- Server support including Active Directory and Group Policy
- Providing Level III escalation and support for other team members
- System documentation and consulting services to include system reviews and recommendations. Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for entering all time and expenses in ConnectWise in a timely manner
- Work through project tickets and phases in ConnectWise as assigned by our Service Desk Manager
- Proactively communicate with clients and management on all aspects of work, projects, issues, outages, etc.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience of network engineering and support
- A minimum of three years of MSP experience is required
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience with ConnectWise applications and Datto RMM/Autotask Endpoint Management including scripting and automation are preferred
- Cisco Meraki implementation and administration experience in a managed MSP environment
- Professional IT Certifications, such as Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, Cisco CCNA, and/or others are a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills such as communication, active listening, and client-care
- Advanced diagnosis skills of technical issues - demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to changes quickly. Acute technical awareness - the ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately
- Must be a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
