Job Overview:
The Inventory Associate plays a crucial role in the accurate and compliant management of inventory. This position is responsible for maintaining precise records of cannabis products using the Dutchie point-of-sale system and adhering to state regulations with the METRC seed-to-sale tracking system. Inventory Associates assist in receiving new products to the dispensary and daily inventory audits. The Inventory Associate ensures that all inventory-related activities align with legal requirements and company policies, contributing to the overall efficiency of the dispensary's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconciliations using the Dutchie point-of-sale system.
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels to prevent overstocking or shortages.
- Organize and label products for easy identification and retrieval.
- Move products in Dutchie Back Office to be sold when necessary
- Double check that invoices have been uploaded to the drive by EOD every day
- METRC Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with state regulations by accurately recording and reporting all cannabis-related activities in the METRC seed-to-sale tracking system.
- Track product movements, transfers, and disposals according to METRC guidelines.
- Log into seed to sale system either receive or reject each package
- Retrieve invoice and product SIGNED METRC manifest from vendor
- Count all packages on manifest
- Match all product IDs and quantities to the METRC manifest
- Double check product IDs, tamper seals, and product quality
- Double Check that our copy of manifest has been signed by delivery driver
- Communicate with Inventory System Specialist with questions or concerns.
- Consult with Management for package rejections
- If new product is not in POS system contact the Inventory Systems Specialist
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with dispensary staff, including budtenders, managers, to ensure seamless coordination of inventory-related tasks.
- Prepare empty bins and barcodes for delivery intake
- Updating menu (adding/removing product)
- Security and Compliance:
- Adhere to security protocols to prevent theft or diversion of cannabis products.
- Stay informed about changes in cannabis regulations and contribute to the development of compliant inventory procedures.
- Training and Development:
- Train new staff members in inventory management procedures and the use of relevant systems (Dutchie, METRC).
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to colleagues to enhance overall inventory control.
- Attend Mandatory Meetings (Daily Huddles and Monthly Store Meetings)
- Other Duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications :
• Must be 21 years of age or older, and able to receive a valid agent ID through the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR).
• Previous experience in inventory management or quality assurance, preferably in
the cannabis industry.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and data entry.
• Knowledge of cannabis regulations in Missouri is a plus!
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
