Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Inventory Control associate monitors inventory levels to ensure accuracy and proper stock rotation. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Inventory Control Specialist reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor with a dotted line to the CFO.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBIITIES:
The following responsibilities would characterize the requirements of this position. Must possess the skills necessary to perform the majority of the listed functions:
Be familiar with company policies (such as SOPs) to complete all assignments
Count designated product daily
Research inventory discrepancies and correct adjustments
Track and report non-conforming product
Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
Follow GMP and SOPs for the department
Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management
Shipping and Receiving of merchandise
Verification of received items against purchase orders and packing list or invoice
Inspect condition of merchandise received
Prepare shipment and shipping documents
Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into the inventory management database
Receive and issue finished goods into the inventory management database
Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and quality team
Record and monitor all items shelf-life exportation and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired
Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights
Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
Perform any other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s preferred; some college work required
Experience in an inventory control field / warehouse preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills, Bilingual Mandarin strongly preferred
Must be detail oriented
Proficient in data entry with minimal errors
Excellent computer skills
Working knowledge of ERP or other inventory control software a plus
Bilingual Mandarin preferred
