We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong numerical and organizational skills to support accurate receiving and inventory operations. This role is ideal for someone with an accounting mindset who enjoys working with documentation, inventory accuracy, and data verification.
Please Note: This is not a dock worker or picker/packer role. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with numbers, verifying paperwork, and maintaining precise records.
Position Summary
Supervise and coordinate receiving operations to ensure accurate processing of incoming materials, proper documentation, and compliance with internal standards. Provide leadership and training to receive associates to maintain efficiency, quality, and safety.
Essential Functions
- Supervise and direct receiving associates to ensure proper handling and inspection of incoming goods
- Coordinate receipt, verification, and accurate documentation of packing slips and shipments within the ERP system
- Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee data entry for all receiving transactions
- Serve as a liaison between departments to support shipping and receiving activities
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and change point procedures
- Oversee checking, packing, labeling, and weighing of outgoing shipments
- Participate in physical inventories and ensure inventory accuracy
- Train, coach, and support the development of new associates; assist with performance evaluations
- Validate order fulfillment and shipment accuracy
- Monitor and enforce safety and quality standards
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to support reporting and organization
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in manufacturing, receiving, inventory control, or material handling
- Strong attention to detail with solid analytical and organizational skills
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervise receiving associates
- Provide guidance, coaching, and ongoing feedback
- Assist with scheduling and workload distribution
- Support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when necessary
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
- Occasionally reaching with hands and arms
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs unassisted
- Work in an environment with moderate noise levels
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced setting
Training Requirements
