Job Description:
Inventory Controllers manage and organize stock in a warehouse setting. It includes physically counting items, organizing shelves and helping ensure inventory is maintained efficiently.
This also involves administrative work, reconciling inventory counts and communicating with vendors and in-house contacts, and following up with PO information.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining regular, accurate inventory records, reconciling inventory to ensure computer counts match physical counts
Monitor and report on inventory levels, deliveries, and shortages
Identifying and resolving discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts
Tracking inbound and outbound inventory to monitor flow and stock levels
Coordinate with warehouse manager to ensure proper storage of inventory
Evaluate new inventory to ensure it’s ready for shipment
Communicating with company employees and vendors to answer questions
Processing and documenting damaged inventory and coordinating repairs or disposal
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as an Inventory Controller, Inventory Manager or similar role
Stockroom, warehouse or retail experience
Active participation in inventory audits
Working knowledge of inventory management software
Ability to accurately track inventory
An analytical mind with strong attention to detail
Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent communication abilities
Attention to detail
Proficiency with spreadsheets or inventory platforms to track and report on stock levels
