Summary/Objective
The Inventory Manager coordinates all complete goods ordering activities including placing orders, communicating equipment availability, and assisting with inventory management duties.
Essential Functions

Work with sales management to accurately place retail and stock orders with vendors in a timely manner
Review order terms and conditions with direction from sales management
Generates various sales activity and inventory reports for sales management as needed
Ensures equipment information in the dealer business system
Prepares stock number tags and provides to appropriate store contact
Coordinates internal transfers of new equipment between dealership locations
Locates and transfers equipment to and from other dealerships to satisfy customer needs
Coordinates the set-up process for stock equipment with the Service Department
Participates in internal and external inventory audits to verify inventory records are accurate
Communicates with sales management and sales staff on factory availability and order status
Communicates regularly with other departments on sales deals, attachments, and inventory activities
Ensures John Deere Envirocrates are returned and reconciles monthly outstanding list
Routes invoices to Accounting for prompt payment
Maintains rental and demonstration equipment records
Assist sales staff on follow-up after the sale activities
Assist with the preparation and execution of customer events
Maintain positive and professional working relationships with coworkers, management, and vendors with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner
Follow all safety rules and regulations and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook
Participate in all company driven communication efforts including department meetings, electronic communications (email and text) and other related efforts
Proactively seek and participate in available company sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge
Maintain prompt and regular attendance according to department and company policies
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting in or around service/parts departments and will be exposed to outside weather conditions, noise, vibration, fumes, odors, dust, electrical shock, toxic or caustic chemicals, heights and close proximity to moving mechanical parts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to stand, bend and stoop. The employee is frequently required to lift or carry up to 20 lbs., walk, reach above, push and pull and use hands and fingers for fine manipulation. The employee is occasionally required to sit, lift and carry up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear at moderate noise levels.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Requirements
3+ years’ experience in inventory controls
Proficiency in using standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office, internet functions, Deere systems and dealer business systems
Knowledge of parts inventory management principles
Understanding of financial management as it relates to parts
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one, within a group, and across the organization
Experienced with John Deere and competitive products
High School Diploma or equivalent
